Dancing For Akeeda completes filming

March 2020

After six years of filming across three continents, Dancing For Akeeda has finally wrapped in Johannesburg. Director Dominic Ozanne and DOP and co-producer Brian Green shot the climatic closing scene as Faakhir Bestman starred in a gala evening performance of a ballet in the 1,000 seat Nelson Mandela Theatre. Both Faakhir's granny and his first teacher flew up from Cape Town to see Faakhir perform, making for an emotionally charged evening.
